Pordenone, 25 maggio 2017_ Ora sì che viene il bello e hai voglia a dire che una rondine non fa Primavera. Alla Baja di marzo il miglior tempo assoluto l’ha staccato Amerigo Ventura con un Quaddy Yamaha, sesto si è piazzato Nicolò Algarotti con un Quaddy versione T3, settimo Graziano Scandola su Polaris Razor, nono Alessandro Tinaburri e decimo Mauro Vagaggini anche loro sul “Side by Side Vehicle” giapponese. Cinque su dieci della top-ten alla guida di rabbiosi quadricicli. E meno male che (per ora) sono confinati in una categoria apposita, il Gruppo TM. Niente scudetto, ma un trofeo nazionale Aci Sport che può segnare una svolta nel fuoristrada, oltre agli incentivi del monomarca riservato ai clienti Polaris. Adesso l’Italian Baja di Coppa del Mondo (14/18 giugno) darà veramente la misura di quanto possano essere competitivi in un contesto di livello assoluto, nel confronto con gli specialisti stranieri.
SPONDA YAMAHA. “La prima esperienza è stata molto positiva – sottolinea Ventura – perché il nostro mezzo non ha dato alcun problema e anche gli altri sono andati forte. Però bisogna sempre migliorare e in vista della sfida iridata abbiamo provato delle cose nuove con l’Offroad Motors di Angelo Montico, ma solo lo stress della gara ci farà capire se siamo sulla strada giusta”.
Sponda Polaris. “C’è grande fiducia nel clan Egimotors – afferma il team manager Diego Biella – dopo il test della scorsa settimana al Valvadrom che ha mostrato netti progressi sui Razor clienti”. Ma Polaris Italia vuole puntare anche alla classifica del TM con un testimonial d’eccezione, Mauro Trentin, pluricampione italiano nei rally su terra, già protagonista alla Baja 2015. Il duello con Yamaha è appena cominciato.

Spring’s Super-protagonists are now pointing to the World Cup
Pordenone, May 25th 2017_ Here’s the best part of the game and the Italian saying “One swallow does not make a Spring” can be debunked. The best time at the March Baja was got by Amerigo Ventura with a Quaddy Yamaha, sixth position for Nicolò Algarotti with a Quaddy T3 version, seventh place for Graziano Scandola with Polaris Razor, nine position seized by Alessandro Tinaburri while the tenth place was reached by Mauro Vagaggini, both of them also on board of the Japanese “Side by Side Vehicle”. Five of the top-ten drivers chose rabid quadricycles. Thank God (until now) they have been enclosed in a proper class, the TM Group. No Cup for them, but a national trophy Aci Sport which represents a change in the Cross Country vehicles, in addition to the incentives of the one brand reserved to Polaris clients. The World Cup Italian Baja (June 14th/18th) will now let us realize how they could be competitive inside of such a contest, comparing their performance with the foreign experts’ ones.
YAMAHA. “My first experience was definitely positive – underlines Ventura – because our vehicle did not cause any problem and also the others offered a great performance. We anyway have to always improve and pointing to the World Cup we even tried something new with the Offroad Motors by Angelo Montico, although only the stress of the competition will let us show the right way”.
POLARIS. “Everybody have faith in the clan Egimotors – affirms the team manager Diego Biella – after the last week’s test at the Valvadrom, which demonstrated us the real progress with Razor clients”. Polaris Italia aims however to the TM classification with a special guest, Mauro Trentin, Italian rally plurichampion, already protagonist at the Baja 2015. The challenge with Yamaha has just begun.
